Dave Shannon won the 1999 & 2000 driver standings trophy. The only time I have seen Daves car from this angle is in my mirror when he's trying (succesfully) to get past.
He calls his mum after every race he wins. I have never met anyone with a larger telephone bill !
A new competitor to the series in 1999, Dave won the trophy in his first year with us - Better than Villeneuve Huh ?
Unfortunately his fade to the back of the grid never happened !
Dave is accompanied to every race by his girlfriend Debbie & crew of James & Malcolm.
The first time I remember speaking to Dave was to borrow some parts to get my car running again. Which where without hesitation lent to me.
A true FISC member in every sense of the word. Dave & his team will do almost anything to get another competitor out onto the track for a race.
& then do almost anything to get past the same guy on the track.

Dave drove James Bilsland's car for the 1999 series. His new car for the 2000 series was an open Sebring fronted Midget (although it did have a hard top on for the Spa race in 2000). Both were remarkably quick & sickeningly well driven. Speaking from personal experience both cars look very nice from behind.
