Nicholas Rose
2000 was Nicholas's first season with FISC cars.
It didn't start too well. During practice at the first race of the season at Spa he blew his engine up.
The season steadily improved since then though and he has even been known to finish the odd race or two.
He finished just outside the top 20.
He has taken no time at all to settle into the paddock with us and is a welcome addition to any meal time conversation.
Nick is acompanied to every race by his friend & mechanic Andy.
Nicholas's Car
I have no idea what Nicholas does for a living, but everything he owns is matt green. ( I have NOT seen his underpants !).
I hope he is either in the army or owns an army/navy surplus outlet.
The car is matt green, his clothes are matt green (or camoflaged), his waterproof car covers are matt green, the petrol cans are matt green.
I even saw him trying to polish the car once.
I've never seen shiny matt green !
His main hobby seems to be working on his engine until twilight, then starting up the engine & driving round the paddock without a bonnet ( & hence no lights) scaring small children, parents & dogs (which shouldn't be in the paddock anyway !).
This is definatley a case of "ACHTUNG FAHRERLAGER" ( For you non-europeans, this is what the Germans like to broadcast VERY loudly as a warning for the paddocks at about 07:00).
