John first started competing in rallies in 1972, progressed through Auotcross and Rallycross, and started circuit racing in 1978 in a Mini. Realising the error of his ways, he switched to historic racing in 1989, as befits a person of his "advancing years" ( his words, not mine!).
John's Car
John has owned the car since 1975, and restored and race prepared it in 1989. It is one of the few FISC cars with full FIA papers. It runs with ONLY steel pannels, and next to no non-period modifications (It even runs on wire wheels !). Whilst not the quickest & probably the least modified car out there, it is certainly one of the nicest. As far as I'm aware the car is fully road legal.
