When I asked Ian what I could write his reply was "What about - Been doing it for years & never won Bugger all!"
I actually think this is a bit harsh. Ian had a very succesful year in 1999 & won a number of cups (look at the picture above). He finished in the top 6 in the drivers standings for 2000 - Please don't make a habit of this Ian, I'd like to win a couple !
A relative newcomer to FISC. Ian has just finished his 3rd year with us. Judging by his driving style he has been driving Sprites & Midgets for a while now, and he's coming back for a 4th FISC year.
I think this says a lot about FISC racing.
Ian's Car
Ian had a new car for 1999. He ran an open 1000cc engined frogeye sprite. Being a 1000cc engine, Ian does not have a weight or rev. limit. If you check out some of his lap times ,or the Fastest European Drivers Standings you'll see his car is not slow !!
This car is amazing. Ian is the only car regularly running in his class, but that doesn't put him off he is ALWAYS found in the top 10 & usually in the top 6 mixing with the 'BIG' boys.
He might not be able to out drag us 1380cc boys in a straight line, but he can certainly out brake us !!
